No, it was 0.9.13.  The reason I was trying to compile the older
version is that apparently 1-rc3a is too new for the css plugin I was
able to find...

  If you are desperate to get this to compile, and
  you really only want to watch DVDs, delete this line from
  xine-lib/src/Makefile.am:

          libw32dll \

  and recompile.

OK, that worked.  As it turns out, however, the version of xine-ui I
have (0.9.23) won't compile with it.  I have to track down a version
of xine-ui that is *just* old enough, but not too old, to work with
this combination of plugin and xinelib.  What a nightmare!

Does anyone know where I can find a css plugin that will compile with
the rc3a lib and include files?  (This was my original question all
along, BTW!)
