I think they stated that it must be on a local disk. That's why I noted that Samba might be the problem. However, I would have liked more information on this before giving up on it - is it Samba specifically that's the problem, or any type of network? The whole point of doing this was to run the DVDs over a network to a combination of Windows and Linux machines. If it's not possible, there's no point in continuing. Even if I placed the DVDs on a Linux host, they would only be available to a Windows box via Samba, so I would presumably run into the same problem form the other end, unless Windows does a better job of reading the stream. -- Rohan Parkes Melbourne Australia |
