It's a 100 Mbps ethernet LAN, using Samba (the ISO images are on an XP machine). If Samba is a problem, I could try NFS. The setup works under XP (although strangely, it seems a lot more demanding on the PC to read DVDs from a network than from a local drive - I thought it would be the other way around). When I was using a Windows package (Virtual-CD), I had to turn off read-ahead caching on the CD-ROM drives. No idea if this is an issue here. Anyway, the output and error I get is usually libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB at 0x0000014b libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB at 0x00000416 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Found 1 VTS's libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 load_plugins: plugin dxr3-spudec failed to instantiate itself. libspudec:init_plugin called liba52:No accelerated IMDCT transform found input_dvd: Error getting next block from DVD (Error reading from DVD.) -- Rohan Parkes Melbourne Australia |
