Yes. I set the region to 1. Today I also tried setting it to 2 and 4 just to see, but without any success. I had and still have installed libdvdcss 1.2.7. I got all my rpms for RH9 from freshrpms.net. They have a RH9 section, so I felt more comfortable using those rpms. It clearly is a problem decrypting the DVD. I thought I had sent the full output from libdvdcss resulting from setting export DVDCSS_VERBOSE=2 but I think that output got written to stderr and not to the log file I sent.
