However, after the DVD has played for 10-15 secs, the "fixing sound card drift" kicks in, and one of these are displayed every second. After 9-10 of these, the sound simply stops (or starts clicking) - If I then seek a bit in the stream, the sound comes back for another 10-15 secs. Normal stereo (non-AC3 pass though) works perfectly though. I tried other DVD players (mplayer and ogle), but there's no problem with the AC3 there. In the output above, the first chunk of "metronom" messages are from the pre-menu intro on the DVD, and the next chunk is from the actual movie. system info, as found by xine-check: ----------------------------------- 0 using-linux 0 have-procfs 0 kernel-2.4.good 0 arch-i386-mtrr 0 mtrr-set 0 found-xine 0 xine-in-path 0 xine-config-in-path 0 plugindir-exists 0 unknown-plugin 0 found-plugins 0 found-plugins 0 found-plugins 0 found-plugins 0 found-plugins 0 have-cdrom 0 have-dvdrom 0 dvd-dma-enabled 0 have-xv 0 have-yuv 0 have-yuy2 0 xv-planes UNAME=Linux cokebottle 2.4.20-mh6 #3 man jun 9 23:27:58 CEST 2003 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux OS=Linux ARCH=i686 DISTRO=Debian DEBIAN_VERSION=testing/unstable KERNEL_VERSION=2.4.20-mh6 xine_executable=/usr/bin/xine xine_executables=/usr/bin/xine xine_configs= xine_config=/usr/bin/xine-config xine_prefix=/usr plugindir=/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.0.0 skindir= input= cdda dvb dvd file gnome_vfs http mms net pnm pvr rtp rtsp stdin_fifo v4l vcd demux= asf audio avi fli games mng mpeg_block mpeg_elem mpeg mpeg_ts ogg pva qt rawdv real sputext yuv4 mpeg2 yuv_frames xineplug_flac decoder= a52 adpcm cinepak cyuv dts dxr3_spu dxr3_video ff fli faad gsm610 idcinvideo interplayaudio in terplayvideo logpcm lpcm mad mpeg2 msrle msvc nsf qtrle qtrpza qtsmc qt real_audio real rgb roqaudio ro qvideo spucc spu sputext svq1 vorbis w32dll wc3video yuv_frames yuv video_out= dxr3 fb none syncfb vidix xshm xv aa CDROM=/dev/hdd DVDROM=/dev/hdd drivetype=ATAPI hdparm=//sbin/hdparm dma=1 DISPLAY=:0 xvinfo=/usr/bin/X11/xvinfo XVIDEO=X-Video Extension version 2.2 YUV=true YUY2=true planes= YUY2 UYVY YV12 I420 |
