Hi, First of all thanks for the great software! I've found one video file that won't play properly however - you can get it from <URI:http://www.lacunacoil.it/Misc/Videolc01.zip>. With xine, the picture is fine but the sound keeps breaking up. Using gxine the picture looks like it loses sync every few seconds as well. In the startup xterm window, I get a lots of messages stating: ffmpeg: didn't get a picture, got 0 bytes left Finally, if I watch an embedded video in a web page using Mozilla and the browser plugin that comes with gxine, and then click on the URL button, a small window appears containing the link. This is very useful as I can then wget the file (it would be nice for a big streamed video file, having got it all once, I could replay it without having to reload it again!). However, if I try and close this popup by clicking on the cross icon, then Mozilla invariably either crashes or locks up. This is on a Mandrake 9.1 box, running KDE. xine-lib is 1-beta11, xine-ui 0.9.20, gxine 0.3.3. I've also got most if not all of the win32 & realplayer codecs installed mentioned on the mplayer site. Video card is a Matrox G550 single head. Cheers, Chris. |
