First, hello to everyone. I had to get off the list as my wife was getting close to our daughter's due date. Our daughter, Destiny, is now almost three months old. A couple of weeks ago, I heard about a color ascii art library called libcaca. I always liked aaxine (in a geeky kind of way) and thought it would be fun to do something similar with libcaca. I studied the APIS's for xine video out plugins (which I have come to like very much), and for libcaca. I probably spent as much time making changes to makefiles and such as I did writing the code itself. Anyways, I have a plugin I am pretty pleased with, and a very primitive xine client program for utilizing it (cacaxine). More questions will certainly be coming later, but I have one now. What should I do with it? Submit a xine-lib patch, or break it into something that can be built stand-alone and copied into the xine plugins directory? The client should be sufficient for basic testing, but is not ready to be included in xine-ui. -- Jeff Smith __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo!
