libasound.so.2 is part of alsa 0.9. You don't need it if you don't use 
the alsa sound-output-plugin.
libaa.so.1 is part of aalib, it's used for video-output on text-console, 
you don't need it, when you only want to play in X11.

It's part of the divx4linux package. You can use it for playing divx 4 
or 5, it's not needed for playing dvd.

What you need is libdvdread, libdvdcss, libdvdnav and xine-dvdnav, or 
update to the current xine-lib 1-beta2 and xine-ui 0.9.17 (you can't 
play without a frontend for xine-lib) and you only need libdvdcss, 
everything else is included.
