Theoretically, it can cause similar problems, but I'm running it here on pretty much every machine and haven't seen any xine-stuttering related to that. Ntpd is quite careful in adjusting the clock: it does so by slowing down or speeding up the system clock by minimal amounts, so _maybe_ it's safe. I can't guarantee that, though. Cheers, Siggi |
