[xine-user] lirc stops working

Hi I've been using lirc support in xine and xmms and wanted to try to do a
bit more than just pause/play sort of stuff so I tried putting the
following in my .lircrc file

begin
  prog = irexec
  button = TV/VTR
 config = xmms&
  mode = xmms
  flags = startup_mode
end

But for some reason this causes xine (yes not xmms) to stuff up and lirc
support in xine no longer works any more until I comment out that line but
works perfect in xmms. Does any one have any ideas why this would happen.

P.S this was tested using lirc 0.6.6 and xine 0.9.13 and xmms 1.2.7
