[xine-user] re-installing and compiling xine.

I have been asking recently about a xine that was coming up and just as=20
quickly disappearing. I re-installed after killing all files 0.9.7 and th=
en=20
upgarded to 0.9.8. At this point nothing worked again and i posted to the=
=20
list, only to find out, for the first time, that xine is not upgradeable =
and=20
needs to be deleted.

I have not been able to install xine 10, 11 0r 12 and have it working til=
l=20
today. I am running Caldera 3.1.1 Server, and had no problems with compil=
ing=20
and installing. I did have a problem until I installed the new dvdnav=20
plugins.

I have also had a win with kxine in that it installed and worked fine fir=
st=20
time.=20

Thanks to those who answered, as I get somewhat confused sometimes, I'm 7=
0 and=20
a geriatric, but been playing with linux since 93. I have at last got an=20
updated distro with all I wish for. Well! I still cannot get mjpegtools g=
oing=20
BUT!
