(or even better a way to > successfully compile them!) funny you should ask that right at this time :) only yesterday i've fixed xine-lib (cvs) to compile on my freebsd box again. you need to have the port /usr/ports/converters/libiconv (a recent version) installed (configure doesn't check for this yet, but hopefully it will, soon). also you should add this line to xine-lib/src/libsputext/Makefile.am: xineplug_decode_sputext_la_LIBADD = -lgiconv (this should be added to cvs of course, but i am hoping daniel will look into the details of adding that in a freebsd-specific manner :)) please try if you can successfully compile xine-lib from cvs and tell me about your findings :-) as i've done my testing only via remote ssh access i can't say anything about video playback, but the xine-ui window came up and the console output looked reasonable to me ;) cheers, Heiko |
