James your self-learning is quite impressive! I don't think DTS will release their specs to Xine for any offer that doesn't include a non-disclosure agreement. Somewhat related: have the DTS audio samples been helpful to you in coding their playback with Xine? After looking at the samples is that project even possible? And Jonathan, I'm not aware of any DTS decoder out there that isn't also an amplifier.
