I have an early Creative DVD 6x drive which is Region 0. When I used windows I had to run a special program before playing my region 1 DVDs, the drive itself didn't care. I assume Xine does some magic to fool the DVDs* since I can play Region 1 and 2 DVDs without doing anything special. * Not that the DVDs themselves contain any intelligence (they're just containers for information), it's the player (and the drive) that decides whether to play a DVD or not, isn't it? | But Maybe I got it wrong, I don't really know much about DVDs ;-) You just help write a media player that's mostly used for watching DVDs :-) -- My name is not Dr Death 6AD6 865A BF6E 76BB 1FC2 | www.piku.org.uk/public-key.asc E4C4 DEEA 7D08 D511 E149 | www.piku.org.uk wn...@cv...t.hx (rot13'd) |
