I will make myself more clear: ignore = engine will not decode (-> some metainfo might also be missing because of that) Maybe "drop" would have been more clear, but I think ignore is easier for the users. But of course, UIs can still hide the video window, when the video is ignored, since nothing will be displayed. (Well, this is not really right, there are still the spus. I tried that once: setting novideo on a VOB from a DVD and enabling the subtitles does work -> you see them on top of the xine logo!)
