Is it a Sigma-branded board, or a Creative-branded one? If it's a Creative-branded board, you will need to extract the firmware from Creative's drivers and try the images you get (I usually get 2 microcode images from enc2dev.vxd). > > I have also tried the various microcodes (I get three > > : microcode0.bin microcode1.bin and microcode2.bin) > > and it doesn't seem to make any difference, except > > that microcode1.bin seems to be the most reluctant to > > load...). If you're extracting firmware from Creative's drivers, use the Sigma drivers. If you're using the Sigma drivers, try Creative's. That's the best advice I can give you. Autocal _will_ go through, and playback _will_ work, if you get the right firmware (btw, calibration going through does _not_ imply that the firmware image will work - I have a Creative-branded board, and both firmware images will calibrate it, but only one of the two will then proceed to play video). If your Xine window stays black, flip the aspect ratio (with the 'A' key) until the aspect ratio is correct and the overlay gets painted correctly. If you get the key color and no video, you still have the wrong firmware image. Derrik Pates | Sysadmin, Douglas School | #linuxOS on EFnet dp...@ds... | District (dsdk12.net) | #linuxOS on OPN |
