Hello all (especially Harm), i've just compiled the latest CVS of xine and want to share my experiences with the DXR3 syncing quality. I am using DXR3 digital passthrough, so some of the problems might be related to this, although I recognized them too with passthrough disabled. One thing first, the syncing offset between audio and video now no longer varies over time. With the new framewise syncing it is quite stable as soon as the frame skip value reaches zero. But there are two remaining issues: 1. The offset is not zero! Audio is constantly ahead of video, quite few, but noticeable. I have "fixed" this for myself by using OSS softsync with an audio.oss_latency of -150. 2. The frame skipping value does not always reach zero. For some streams, it starts with higher values and doesn't decrease, sometimes it even starts increasing within the stream. Usually seeking in the stream (e.g. pressing cursor left) fixes this.
