A makefile should _never_ call ldconfig, as this is only the sysadmin's job. Apart from that, it's a Linuxism, that will probably not even exist on other architectures... The only thing thar could be useful here, is including a message in the makefile. I guess that just adding something like "if you just installed xine-lib, you have to run ldconfig as root before installing xine-ui", just after the "xine not found" message. Cheers, Siggi |
