It's nothing serious - the frame we were trying to display, will be discarded when this error occurs that's all. Now if it only happens in menus and everything looks still fine, it's okay. :-) Nevertheless you shouldn't see an error like that. Could you please give us some exact details like what kernel you are using, what xine(-lib/-ui) versions and so on? Also how much memory does your Matrox card have and what resolution (and color depth) are you running X in? And last but not least, please take a look at your syslog logfile if there are any error messages from the SyncFB kernel module itself.
