Just to clariy my somewhat mysterious description. I have downloaded a xine-latest.tar.gz & xine-ui-latest.tar.gz slightly after xine-0.9.2 was released. I have also downloaded the xine_d4d_plugin-0.2.7.tar.gz from captain css. The problem I see is that d4d plays a dvd by inserting every chapter into the playlist, instead of using continuous playback. Whenever there is a chapter change, xine seems to instantiate a new input plugin. This causes a lot of debug info to be displayed in the console where xine was started from, and makes the movie stop for a few seconds. Very annoying. Additionally, after watching a movie for about half an hour, it starts skipping frames, even if the total cpu usage is about 30% for xine, and 20% for X. I run Xv with a rage128 based ati card. Any ideas about how to get rid of the chapter change stop, and the skipping of frames? -- -Torgeir |
