It's a side effect on the Enlightenment workarounds I added when setting fullscreen window layers: All GUI windows should be unmapped and re-mapped again, provided they are visible. But it seems to happen when they are invisible, in some cases... Did you try it with CVS version? Which Window manager are you using? > I'll keep looking.
