#71 Compare folder containing files with names not identical

I,
I use WinMerge 2.6 on XP sp2.
Is there a way to compare 2 folders where the file names are not fully identical ?
Example :
folder 1 -
fileNane-V1.1.txt
folder 2 -
fileNane-V1.3.txt

I searched but could not find a way, do i have to make a special version , or a plugin maybe ?

Currently that is not possible.

That is interesting use case I've sometimes needed myself. But I don't know what would be a good way to tell WinMerge which filenames should be considered as similar.

So only way is to select files in Explorer and use shell extension to open WinMerge.
