I've some files locked in almost every compare I'm doing, and those files just show up in compare results with error status. Do you have some plugins enabled/in use? Plugis are known to stop the compare when errors happen. > Is there a preference setting somewhere for this kind of "on error go to > next" ? No option, it WinMerge should handle it just fine.
