Hello all I am new to this forum and I am trying to develop a php based service to manage a few networking elements in my server and a few servers as well as start and stop a few programs from a web interface, to make it short I am trying to make a minimal management program for a group of servers. Wifiadmin seems like a good base to start from. I started going through the code and found that index.php is using functions from func_linux.php, but I did not find any include() or require() to the func_linux.php file. How is it done ??? If anyone can explain that to me I would be grateful Thank you Eran sagi | Eran Sagi | Integration Dev Manager | Nextcom Group LTD| t. +972 (73) 232 0232 | f. +972 (73) 232 0231 | m. +972 52 8663340| www.nextcomgroup.com<http://www.nextcomgroup.com/> | mailto: era...@ne...<mailto:era...@ne...> [NextcomgroupQRsmall][?????: cid:image001.jpg@01CCA2EA.23C45C60] |

Hello Vasos, Thank you very much for all your support and new version of wifiadmin. I have deployed version 0.2.6b1 and wireless interface could been detected successfully now. I have also meantime upgraded my server from Fedora 17 to Fedora 19 which changed name of my wlna0 interface to wlp3s0 Unfortunately current version of wifiadmin can not detect associated clients to hostapd server. Assosiated MACs list on Master-mode device wlp3s0 There are currently no associations on wlp3s0 I have associated my laptop from which I am writing this email. Nice I will be waiting. One thing is that I asked for iwconfig comand output (without args), not ifconfig. I haven't encountered the bidge schenario, but I assume that the wireless settings should be set per wireless NIC. For priviledged execution (since you also verified it's not selinux related and that apache user can run privileded commands) the only thing that I can come to, is the way php scripts are executed. Are you using mod_php (which should exec with apache user privs), or suPHP (whitch runs that script with the file owner privs ?). Check the corresponings logs also. Hello Vasos, Thank you very much for your reply. I have sudo setup - it was in your installation instructions. I have doublechecked it even that I switch to apache user and did sudo commands from apache id. I will try to troubleshoot that /proc/net/wireless file today evening. I dont have access to my server no so I can not send you ifconfig output but wlan0 interface is definitely there but what is strange is that there is also something like mon.wlan0 or non.wlan0 in ifconfig output but I dont have such interface defined in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. I think that all wlan0 configuration is in hands of hostapd daemon now. Dont know if it is worht to mention here - if it can be related to this issue but my wlan0 is bridged to br0 second device in br0 is bond0 there are two phisical adapters in bond0 p1p1(intel) and em1(broadcom). It is not very standard configuration but I am not sure if it can be related to all these troubles... ... anyway what is probably worth to mention here is that ifconfig command does not bring up any IP configuration for wlan0 at all - because wlan0 in fact does not hold IP - br0 - bridge is configured with IP. I have also laptop with fedora17 so I will compare /proc/net/wireless files on hostapd server and hostapd client. I will send detail output in the evening once I get to my server. Thanks.
