It would be nice to have a common history of all games
played by all players, and perhaps have a filter to
view games in which particular players participated -
that way two people who regularly play together can
always see their results and other players can identify
players who they would feel they would like to play,
based on skill.

If you're talking about global statistics (like number of
times two particular players played each other, number of
wins/losses/draws, etc.) then I was thinking of doing that
already. If you're talking about keeping every game so you
can go back and see them move-by-move, it would be feasible.
We could leave it up to WebChess admins how much space they
want their databases to take up.

I think this is a good idea.
Create a type of community where player can choose to
make their games (still running and/or ended) viewable to
other players or to allow only the two players to view the
game status and the history.
It will make decissions easilier if you want to play against
someone you don't know (than you know at least his abilities
from these games).
Another: ref. to community:
Statistics viewable by all registered player about the other
registered player (win, loss, Skill) will also be great.

What I mean is that I can decide if everyone can the what I
can see when clicking on an ended game or a running.
This won't take much more space in the database ?!
