User Reviews

  • ASK is a great product, but unfortunately, Challenge-response email spam prevention techniques have lost favor over the last 10 years, due to abuses of the use, such as allowing response to mailing lists and such. I used TMDA around 2,000 - 2003, until ISP's started blocking home based email servers. I sure miss being able to autoblock 98% of my spam! I started using ASK a about a month ago on a conventional email server. ie. MailDir, but when I went to virtual domains, I wasn't sure how to implement, and the mailing lists look like a ghost town. There are plenty of Great comments about WEBASK in the mailing lists, but it appears that no one is interested anymore. I do not even have ASK working with virtual users, so I have not attempted to install this on my server. I'm giving this project a thumb's up based on te premise and the comments made in the mailing lists. My hope is that support and enthusiasm is renewed in ASK, ASKWEB, and TMDA, TMDA-CGI. these products work, and remove your fear of checking your email on your smartphone, while driving down the road.
