This is a huge amount for those not as familiar with the code to get correct in one shot. I've been doing where I notice but I've also been using the priorities 1) Don't mess anything up. 2) Translation is the main task and needs to be done quick and right. 3) The rest works right, it's cleanup. Of course cleanup is good too. With those priorities, at times, my blinders are on for the rest. Just too much. Plus I don't even understand the differences between the old db statements and these yet. The rest I've been trying to do lately. Have you tried doing exactly this... 1) At the Orders menu click on Print Order Reports. The bottom logo should be fine... 2) Click on the Create PDF submit button. The bottom logo should not appear... Even if it does appear, I would still maintain there are problems with that script because session.inc is not loaded and title is not set in some cases where it appears they should be. ...but I also believe that logo cannot load because it can't know which theme!!! Thanks for confirming, Jake. I was under that impression but I only read once a while back and wasn't sure. The sf logo is still in the same place that it was planned to be with the new site so we should still get the same stats. They say it is based on people clicking the pic link they supply that has the necessary code to increment our count with them. If the stats start going down in Sourceforge then we will do what we can to bring them up ;) Hey, that would be a good idea about demo.weberp.org. It would need to point to www.weberp.org/weberp once we change the registry. Dick, can you send Phil and I the domain server entries for the registry? I believe I know what they are but better have you confirm. Phil, can you let me know once you've made the registry changes? Just a small point on formatting table echo statements: I had some pretty ugly looking echo statements I have been splitting them with carriage returns after </TD> trying to keep a <TD>Some other stuff</TD> on a single line - so it is easier to see what is in each cell of a table. I have also been trying to tidy up with some carriage returns the printf statements and the SQL splitting up SQL on major constructs. The SELECT showing each column returned on a separate line, then the FROM showing each table being used on a separate line, then the WHERE with each AND split also. I think the resultant SQL is quite a bit more readable. As with a few things I wish I had done this from the outset but hey!!! Also, I am still trying to make all calls to DB_query use $ErrMsg and $DbgMsg and occassionally rollback=true DB_query takes up to 5 parameters $result = DB_query( $SQL , $TheDBHandle, $ErrorMessageOnFail, $DebugMessageOnlyVisibleToASysAdmin, $InTheMiddleOfADBTransationSoRollbackIfError, $DontHandleErrorsInsideThisFunction ); $DebugMessageOnlyVisibleToASysAdmin defaults to _('the SQL that failed was') - or something like it. $InTheMiddleOfADBTransationSoRollbackIfError - defaults to false so no rollback is attempted if an error is returned from the SQL server $DontHandleErrorsInsideThisFunction defaults to false - so DB_query always tries to handle errors if not set to true - this is a problem in that attempts to check for errors after calls to DB_query will not even be actioned - since DB_query will have included footer.inc and exited the script! Yes this is a new report - only a week or so old. But it is right that session.inc only gets included if there is no date range set. Otherwise it is into making the report and then PDFStarter_ros.inc is in there. - it starts a session and includes config.php etc. Phil |

Steve, Man you are hungry for this stuff!! I don't think that is the case, if you copy the code for the sf.net image onto the new site then you will still get the ranking hits. it is outlined at: https://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=790&group_id=1 Also, if the new demo allows it we could set up something like demo.web-erp.org Just a thought Jake Phil Daintree wrote: > You decide is still the answer ... the only point only partly worthy of note > is that our statistics based on web site accesses probably depend on us > hosting on sourceforge. You decide is still the answer ... the only point only partly worthy of note is that our statistics based on web site accesses probably depend on us hosting on sourceforge. We would slip down the rankings probably - doesn't bother me but may reduce our credibility? Steve, I am so happy to have to have you helping with all this stuff and really whatever you decide is good with me. Clearly you are way more experienced a marketeer than I. With respect to web site/hosting demo you call the shots. Thanks so much for all your effort in bringing webERP onto a more professional footing. Sounds good, Jesse. That message actually kind of slipped my mind or at least I wasn't positive what it meant. I would like Phil to take a look at my last message to him about Dick's hosting, no shell but good CPanel before making a final decision. I think we all agree that we want a website and demo that works right and loads in a proper amount of time. This isn't the case with Sourceforge...at least not for the past few months. So, I guess we will be moving them but I'd still like to get a final ok from Phil as to where... I've not done anything yet (except forget about it for 3 days :) ). Just let me know if I need to look into this... jesse -----Original Message----- From: skaill [mailto:sk...@ro...] Sent: Monday, October 11, 2004 16:38 To: web...@li... I expect it will be but I still have not actually got that confirmation. 2) When Dick heard we may be looking he set it up right away which was kind of premature or very efficient depending on how you look at it ;) 3) Since Dick had it setup already it was not much trouble to move everything there and try it. There is a drawback in that we don't have shell access but I believe we have everything needed through the control panel and that it's actually more effective. I've explained to Phil but have not heard from him about it yet. 4) Once we hear he too wants to switch hosts then it will come down to whether Dick's hosting with the CPanel only will be good for all. Also some other issues such as speed although I've found Dick's hosting to be good for speed. When I hear back from Phil, we will be in a position to know whether another hosting situation is need/wanted or whether we are all set. If we are set with Dick's then we will change the registry to point to Dick's host and be done. If not then we'll need to explore other options. If it happened that yours was easily readied in the meantime I would have loaded the webERP website and demo on yours as well and tried it out. It turns out you are planning to build a stand-alone server so I would put that on hold as there's a good chance Dick's hosting will do without you going through all that work. At the very least I believe this part > include ('includes/session.inc'); > $title = _('Order Status Report'); needs to be included in all cases at the very top of the script after checking page security. As I say I'm not going to change it because it would be better if whoever knows this script does it. Notice http://weberp.zion-it.com/weberp/PDFOrderStatus.php? displays the webERP+sm.gif graphic fine when you first go in but after selecting Create PDF it does not. This issue has to do with the code in PDFOrderStatus.php, not the way it is setup on zion-it. The code is incorrect. It only loads session.inc and header.inc under the following condition if (!isset($_POST['FromDate']) OR !isset($_POST['ToDate']) OR $InputError==1){ include ('includes/session.inc'); $title = _('Order Status Report'); include ('includes/header.inc'); This cannot be correct. I'm not going to play around with this file though because someone else has been working on it lately and it would be better if they took a look... In fact I believe this is a fairly new file altogether. That's already been taken care of though, Phil. The database defaults each new user to professional automatically. It's some other issue unless it has been resolved and we just haven't realized it yet. Almost all graphics work on all the pages. In this case it would seem the theme is not being assembled into the folder name. Steve, This is a known issue with new systems - the db needs to default the user theme - the theme forms part of the path for images so menucurve and a heap of others wont be findable!
