More information on this issue. On attempting to open any *.vym archive, the Windows command shell runs <vym_installdir>\bin\unzip.exe, which reports the error "unzip: cannot find either C:\Documents or C:\Documents.zip" briefly before disappearing. It's just a zipped directory with subdirectories for flags and images. on top level there should be the $MAPNAME.xml file containing the map itself. Btw. this could be loaded directly into vym, once you have it extracted.
