Debian bug#692268: vym: Cannot add accented characters to mind map
Brought to you by:

Hi,
Handling of input in vym seems to be different from the rest of the system, which causes errors when typing accentuated letters.
In all of the different examples, accentuated letters works on all other applications (my window manager is Xfce, in case that matters).
I can reproduce that with different setups:
- with fr_latin9, I can type accentuated letters, except a circumflex on e (ê)
- with us_intl, I can't type any accents
In all cases, I can produce the letter in a terminal and copy/paste it in vym, and it works.
The corresponding Debian bug is http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=692268
Thanks,
Pierre
vym has no "special" ways, just uses Qt input. Does it work with other Qt applications? Maybe you can try one of the simple Qt demos. They come with development packages usually. On my openSUSE e.g. in:
usr/share/doc/packages/libqt4/examples/dialogs/standarddialogs/
still an issue?
please reopen if necessary, thanks.
