Hi all!
Some cleanups and a critical mode switching bugfix. If true this should
be a stable release, therefore the minor number change to 0.2.0!
Have fun,
Michael

Is anyone else having trouble getting into insert mode? I find that I = often have to press 'i' 6 or 7 times before the change to insert mode = "sticks". I press 'i' once, and the status line says "InsertMode". Then I press = another letter, and the status line switches to "CommandMode" and the = stuff I type is interpreted in the command mode context. It doesn't always happen like this. It seems to only goof when eclipse = is doing something else. For example, if I've just written the file out = and it's doing it's automatic compile. Makes me suspect a race = condition. I haven't looked at the code, but is it possible that after = pressing 'i', subsequent keystrokes could be interpreted before the = handling of the 'i' (and the mode switch to InsertMode) is complete? sooner or later, it's not very high priority ;o)

The feature I miss most compare with vim is that vim will highlight the
selected word by searching something or by searching word by [g]+[d]
key. Will it be added in viPlugin later?

I suppose this is because viPlugin depends on features introduced in Eclipse version 2.1. By upgrading your Eclipse, you should get vi to work. Hi all!
No big changes:
* added a preference setting for the vim-style cursor. in fact this
is a workaround for a probable GTK platform bug. set it via the
prefences page, or :set vc, vimcursor, novc, novimcursor
Have fun,

With 0.1.18, everytime I close a file Eclipse gets an exception and
tells me to look at the error log. I didn't have this problem with
0.1.17. I'm running Eclipse 2.1.1 on Linux, so maybe that's the
problem. Anyone else seeing this?
Here's the exception:

Hi all!
This release is "donated" by Kristian Argillander:
* preferences page with option for ignorecase
* implemented vi style preferences setting (:set xxx where xxx
can be ic, ignorecase, noic, noignorecase)
* final fixes to ShiftSelection
* Cursor reflects Mode (thick in CommandMode, thin in InsertMode)
* implemented d/, c/
* undo uses the eclipse undo interface, so CTRL-Z is the same as
u and even works for changes in InsertMode
Happy new year to him (ok, whatever :),
Michael

Hi all!
Kristian Argillander implemented the following:
* implemented undo of shifting (<<, >>)
* implemented correct shifting behaviour (vim compatible)
* fixed CommandParser to allow "." again
My ISP had some problems so my domain name needs to adapt to a new IP
address. This may take max. 4 days. Please use
http://sf.net/projects/viplugin meanwhile.
Have fun,
Michael

Hi all!
changes for 0.1.15:
* implemented X (deleting character backwards)
* fixed b going over line breaks
* fixed CommandParser for commands that end with a digit (e.g. r3)
* added a warning when trying to quit and unsaved buffer
Have fun,
Michael

Hi, viPlugin 0.1.14 I often find myself wanting to replace single characters. For non-numeric characters, the 'r' + x command works fine. However, if I want to replace a character with a *number*, things get wonky. It tries to replace x number of characters instead. Please fix. Damn, and I thought I fixed the "jump to line beginning" thing already.
I have a WinXP (JDK 1.3.1 / JDK 1.4.2) and a linux box (debian) around,
so I may be able to reproduce it, although as I know my coda,e it is most
probably not related to "how fast" you are pressing x :)
Will have a look at it tomorrow (I'm going to release 0.1.15 then).
Good night,
Michael (03:31 am)
