Hi, viPlugin 0.1.14 Windows XP Eclipse 2.1 JDK 1.4 I've noticed that, in MS Windows at least, if I hold down the 'x' key (to delete a single char) too long, or press it repeatedly too fast, it seems to jump to the beginning of the line. Any ideas on this one? I can regularly reproduce this, so hopefully you have a Windows box that you can test on. Regards, Dan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! I'm already thinking about code folding (+ other major
improvements) as a commercial add-on.

Should be possible :)

I will ask Bram Moolenar (creator of vim) if I can add his
docs to viPlugin.

Hi, First, thanks for a nice plugin. Now all I need is code folding. :) I had a couple requests (one major, one minor). First, I would like to be able to switch between open files with ':n'. In other words, if I have 2 open files in the editor section, I would like :n to switch focus to the "next" file (i.e. raise the next tab in the editor), in a left to right order. This would be roughly analagous to vi's current ':n', which lets you move to the next open file. Is this possible? Second, is there any chance of adding the help docs to the Help -> Help Contents section? It's a small thing, I know, but I think it would be nice. That's all for now. Keep up the great work! Hi!
This time it worked! The diff file was broken the same as last time, but
I could apply it more easily. Please provide other patches again with
eclipse, it's easier to handle. The problems have been too long lines in
the diff file (should eclipse and diff handle that?). I will release
0.1.14 today.

Michael

Hi, Mr. Whiles! I also began to subscribe to the viPlugin-user mailing list. Hi Phil! I don't know what Hiroyuki is planning. search & replace is definitely planned and not that hard to implement now that we have regexp search. Let's wait what Hiroyuki says, if not you can do it, because I'm currently bug hunting. Please let's keep the discussion per mail (best if you subscribe to the viPlugin-user mailing list, so that everybody knows what's going on). Hi all!
Good news:
* Fixed german umlauts problem
* Fixed off-by-one line jumping
* Runs again with JRE 1.3 (Search algorithm dependent on installed JRE)
* More code splitting
Bad news:
* Added some more bugs
The JRE problem had to be resolved _fast_ so I wasn't able to start the
bug party. I promise (should I really do that?) to get the most annoying
bugs out by 0.1.12 :|
Have fun,
Michael

Here it comes:
* implemented ~ for visual selection
* implemented correct cursor placement after dd, cc
* implemented #dT?, #dF?, #cT?, #cF?, #yT?, #yF?
* automatic commandBuffer validity checking
This release may not be as stable as the previous release, due to some

Ah! Yes that's true. Missed that one. I will add it to v0.1.7

Hi Michael, Well, thankyou for those additions in 0.1.6! The plugin is certainly very usable now, and very comfortable, if you know what I mean. I have noticed some interesting behavior with the "dd" command. When I try to delete the last line of a file my command is ignored. In vi[m] a dd on the last line deletes the line and moves the cursor up to the next existing line. Thankyou for your efforts. Steve Cooke. |

Hi!
Please belive me, those are peanuts :o)
Expect the features in v0.1.5.
Have fun,

PS: You can give me some more wishes, if they are that easy... (bigger
things like visual mode, search and replace, autocompletion are
already in my queue :)

Hi Michael, Does your wishlist stack have room for one more request? If so, I'd like to see support for the "~" operator - this reverses the current capitalization of the letter to the right of the cursor. I'd also like to see suppport for the "r" operator - this deletes the letter to the right of the cursor and enters insert mode. Thanks for your time! Steve Cooke |

Hi Steve!
This is a bug introduced by the smartIndent feature I started! I have
fixed it already and it will be solved in v0.1.5 (probably today or
tomorrow)

Hi, Thanks for the wonderful job you are doing on the vi plugin. There are still some dinosaurs around who prefer vi to other editors. Either that or the fact that we have used vi[m] for so long that the commands are second nature to us and to use any other editor involves a conscious effort to not type <ESC>:w etc! So thankyou. Using viplugin 0.1.4, I have noticed that, when placing a yanked indented line, an extra indentation, equal to the original indentation, is added to the start of the line. Is such behavior to be considered normal? I can live with it but it was unexpected when I first encountered the behavior. Thanks for your time, Steve Cooke. |

Hi all!
viPlugin 0.1.4:
* improved o, O cursor positioning (first shot at smart indentation)
* implemented "DEL" key
* improved Backspace behaviour
* improved w,b movement (again)
* fixed some small bugs while implementing more JUnit testcases
Have fun,
Michael
