I have a laptop that is being replaced. On it I have an encrypted drive. I wish to transfer this (or the data within it) to an encrypted pen drive as the new laptop has a smaller SSD, not my choice. Do I need to decrypt the encrypted files to copy them, or will I be able just to copy or move them to the pen drive.

opened original encrypted drive, copied all enclosed files directly to my mounted VeraCrypt formatted pen drive.
