> [ UTF-8 ] Well, as Julien already pointed out, recode or iconv will do, though opening and saving the po file in kbabel will do the same. I would also recommend to the other translators to use kbabel rather than plaintext editors (though i bet there is a pofile script for emacs by now) since it is a quite advanced pofile generator. There was an older translation by Michael Piefel with many useful phrases which I could load as a helpfile and then copy the matching phrase with only a keystroke. It also prevents you from messing up with \n and %i/%u etc stuff. -Thomas P.S.: No, I'm not that much a KDE fan - Window Maker is running here and no KDE Apps at the moment ;-). -- |

Hi! Here is the untested de.po file (since I didn't have time to download & compile the lastest ti*lib stuff). I guess the UTF-8 Charset that kbabel defaults to is ok. And ya potfile error found ;-): #: src/tilp_main.c:111 msgid "FreeBSDP port, (c) 2003 Tijl Coosemans\n" I guess FreeBSD port was meant, so I put this in my translation. -Thomas |

Filesystem "standards" are a mess to deal with and seem very different on each unix flavor. To give you yet another directory, /var/lib seems to be /var/db on BSDs. However, it seems to me that tilp.reg shouldn't go there anyway. That directory is used for state keeping data. "tilp.reg" is an ordinary config file linking file types to programs. On BSDs it should be put in ${prefix}/etc. I've no idea where Linux should put though. |

Hi, I re-enabled internationalization support in TiLP. A French guy just contacted me to translate TiLP messages. Is there any other people interested in translating TiLP into their mother tongue ? No specific skills are required except for using a text editor ! This can be done under any platforms. Please apply to the tilp-devel mailing list <til...@li...>.
