I see you're using a V200, probably with a SilverLink nowadays. However: which OS version is your V200 running ? In the Home screen, F1 -> A (About) to obtain this piece of information; which computer OS type, architecture and version are you using ? Possibly Ubuntu, according to your handle, but maybe not ? which versions of TILP and its libraries are you using ?

No problem :) A version of new ROM dumper is in fact public: https://github.com/jacobly0/tilibs/commit/25107aac07635b5005083b70732ebebd96688bd4 but it got stuck in testing, and jacobly wants to improve it further. Also, I haven't worked much on libti / gfm / tilp this year.

Your log doesn't show anything wrong yet :) Running the program over and over again - 256 times in total - to dump a different memory portion every time is in fact how the TI-eZ80 Flash dumper works. Unlike all other ROM dumpers in libticalcs, the current TI-eZ80 dumper doesn't speak the libticalcs custom dumping protocol, as this requires a level of hardware + software knowledge nobody in the community had when it was implemented. Nowadays, things could be different, as jacobly and MateoC have gained...

Interesting. I have no clue about why that happens... Could you close TILP, and then upload 1) the complete terminal output of the TILP session 2) the contents of the ~/.ticables/ticables-dusb.pkt and ~/.ticables/ticables-log.hex files, assuming they're not near-empty ? TIA.

Actually, Adriweb had to patch libticonv for it to build on MacOS X as well, and both of us forgot about it... Try applying his fix https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/ArsFNPV7/0001-libticonv-Fix-build-on-macOS.patch , using patch -p1. It should definitely work. When you have tested it, I can push it to master :)

apparently Debian Buster, my system, does not have 'libglib2.0' and it refuses to compile. That shouldn't occur. I'm using Debian sid, where packages appear before decaying to (currently) Buster when no issues are reported - and there's no such issue. Check your build dependencies. how do I get TILP to recognise the parallel port at /dev/usb/lp1? Sadly, with most USB <-> DB25 adapters, you don't, because you can't. This isn't a limitation of libticables, this is simply a consequence of the fact that...
