Hello, is there any possibility to 'clean' the sh3d file to recover the 3d view. Strange enough is that this sh3d file read on another labtop provide back the 3d view; so, it looks more related to the Sweethome3D software installation, rather than the file.

Have the same issue. Application will freeze unexpectedly and only way to fix is to force quit and restart. Apple iMac 27" with 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 and 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory.

This is not a bug. It was by design to avoid too complicated operations because rotations are not commutative (try how difficult it is in the furniture import wizard). If you absolutely need both rotations, you can export a model to OBJ format then reimport it and change rotations.
I forgot to say that i am running this on a Windows 11 Pro and Sweet Home 3D is version 7.6.3.

I would love this. I come from Sketchup and what I find difficult in SD3D is its snaping does not work as expected. I expected i could snap to wall borders, but it does not (I have the option enabled). It snaps to something sometimes but I cant find it snap to what i move it near to. Guide lines could solve this.

Hi, I love the software but I struggle with the same issue :) Seems like doing rooms, and the double click helps but still I need to remember to take the wall thickness from the total width or height which I think this feature would solve. Also doing rooms in the middle of something already exists (eg sharing one wall) adds unwanted (crazy looking) walls which also is something You can surly solve in SH3D.

What I have learnt so far is that the laptop is running on a Qualcomm Adreno adapter. And it doesn't support a classic OpenGL desktop stack. A lot if not most Java-based apps 3D engines tend to crash.

Have you tried with this plugin? With Staircase generator plugin you can't but this one have many customizable options. To distinguish between them, this one have a colored icon.

On the SH3D version I am using (7.0.2), the space between the doors is filled with the wall in which the door is embedded. It would be nice if the space between the doors were invisible, so the viewer would view into the closet. I tried to change the material between the door to make it invisible, but the material between the door does not appear to be selectable. Am I missing something?.

I flatlaf theme macOS dark in sh3d. I'm running sh3d on arch linux. How I did this was: download the latest flatlaf jar file from: https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/formdev/flatlaf/ for me it was flatlaf version 3.6.2, so I downloaded: flatlaf-3.6.2.jar, and put it to /opt/flatlaf I modified the sh3d launcher bash script at /usr/bin/sweethome3d. find the top level $APP_CLASSPATH and add to the end after a colon the full path of the flatlaf jar file. for me it was: /opt/flatlaf/flatlaf-3.6.2.jar...

Hi Andre, Draw (or generate) a room around the garden shed as a roof projection. Select it and generate the roof. You will have a classic roof. Modify the exterior faces at 90 deg and make it invisible. Keep only the 2 needed faces at 40 deg. Modify the slope of one or both until will fit your needs.

Hello. I found this thread because I was looking for a similar feature. The Virtual Visit controls in Sweet Home 3D make no sense. The keyboard should control walking forward and backward as well as strafing left and right. And the mouse should control the direction your head is looking. I created a script using AutoHotKey in Windows that remaps the A and D buttons to "ALT + ←" and "ALT + →" respectively. After using this script, you will be able to walk around the Virtual Visit mode the same way...

Greetings...I've found an alternative way to do this...create a text box and add the measurement...you can also adjust fonts and move the measurement exactly where you want it...hope this helps! JEP

Emmanuel, on another hand "supprimer" can also be ambiguous as you don't delete the tag , you only diassociate the tag from a level. . I've translated 'delete' by "supprimer" when you really delete the tag, and by 'ôter' when you diassociate. On top in UI 'ôter' is shorter than 'supprimer'. By the end of the day, I don't really mind, Cheers
I would suggest to use "supprimer" rather than "ôter" which I never saw in a program.

Here are the correct locale settings for me, where the comma is used as a separator, but then generated cad2walls.Output.sh3d no longer opens.
Thank you, but that did not resolve the issue. Apparently, Java takes the decimal separator from Windows, as I was able to get it to work by forcing Windows to pretend that I am in the US. Attached are the Windows locale settings that work.
Shlomo, I’m not familiar with Github. Rather than doing something wrong, please find in att. the raw file of LevelTagsPlugin.properties translated in French Cheers
I see you forked the repo, but your changes are not on github. Did you push the changes to origin? Once you do that you can create a Pull Request and I'll check it out.
