This is the initial release of the FitInPlugin, focusing on advanced spatial management, automated alignments, and dynamic resizing. We have introduced a powerful new tool to help you seamlessly arrange, stack, and grid multiple furniture items perfectly within the boundaries of a designated container object.
📐 Advanced Layout Modes
Achieving perfectly organized groups of furniture is now fully automated and customizable.
- Versatile Arrangements: Choose from multiple layout styles directly from the configuration panel, including Overlap All, Stack X (Width Direction), Stack Y (Depth Direction), Stack Z (Height Direction), and Grid Matrix (X & Z).
- Gap & Clearance Control: Easily define the gap clearance between your target items to ensure perfect, uniform spacing across your entire layout.
🎛️ Independent Size & Offset Control
Take full control over how each individual target object behaves and fits inside your container.
- Dynamic Resizing: Use the interactive table to toggle resizing for Width, Depth, and Height independently for each object in your selection queue.
- Custom Object Offsets: Apply specific X, Y, and Z translation offsets per object to fine-tune their final positions within the layout.
- Container Safety Offsets: Define internal safety margins (Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Front, Back) to keep your objects perfectly contained without clipping through the container's walls.
📋 Smart Object Management
We built a dedicated user interface to provide a smooth, professional, and risk-free workflow.
- Interactive Queue: Easily manage your selected targets with a dedicated side toolbar. Move items Up or Down in the layout sequence, Duplicate them, or Delete them on the fly without leaving the dialog.
- Native Undo/Redo: The plugin is fully integrated with Sweet Home 3D's history system, allowing you to experiment safely and rollback complex layout changes with a single click.
📥 Installation Instructions
- Download the version 1.0.0 file from the Files section.
- Place the plugin file into your Sweet Home 3D plugins folder.
- Restart the application to enable the new tools.
(To use it, select multiple items in your scene—the first selected acts as the container—and go to Tools > Fit Objects In Container...)
