Maybe it could be used in a cutscene between normal forest and ghost forest where it is revealed that Nolok is in some way responsible for the forest turning evil. I think it'll also fit during the outro/credits sequence. Marek |

This is great! Perhaps there should be an area of the forest world that's been burnt/destroyed by Nolok, and this music plays there. It would add a nice dramatic touch to the game. |

Updating drivers is the Linux equivalente of rebooting on Windows. It doesn't mean it will solve your problems, but just in case... ;) Cheers, Ricardo Em Domingo, 20 de Fevereiro de 2005 10:04, o Alexander Brock escreveu: > Hello, > > >> Try updating your video card drivers. > > > > I did so and now Super-Tux crashes when I try to enable OpenGL. > > I managed, to enable OpenGL by editing the st_config.dat, > but the water is still non-transparent. > > Alexander -- Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-) -- Unknown source |

not with me ;-) but if I remember correctly, there was one in the 0.5 version of supertux, and a nice simple fish in the last cvs version I tried. The drum track you made is very similar to the one I used in the original Forest2. I took it over from the mod when I re-wrote the song in Rosegarden, but I removed it later because I thought it destroyed a lot of the atmosphere that is created by the piano and cello sounds. IMHO the song doesn't need any percussion, or just very very little - depending a little on how it should be used (if it's used somewhere at all) - but as far as percussion goes, I personally like it the way it is. Are there more opinions about that? Marek |

thats nice... I swear I saw that fish somewhere before though... also, I might "fit in" a little better if you blurred the edges a little. just a thought. overall though its very nice. Hello noah, > nice! Thanks :-) > it might be better if it had some sort of symbol on it, a penguin, or a fish. something like that. I chose a fish: http://brockal.br.funpic.de/supertux/coin/fish/images.php Because the fish is what tux eats. Of course it is possible to place a penguin on the coin. And I made a new pipe: http://brockal.br.funpic.de/supertux/pipe/images.php Alexander |

Vaguely reminds me of the music in the second level of SMB. It could do with a drum track, though. Hard to explain exactly what I'm thinking of. In fact, give me a few minutes... OK, attached is a RoseGarden file with some hastily-thrown-together drums in. RoseGarden seems to be a very nice tool... Playing the midi file and the ogg at the same time will explain what I think it needs better than words: $ ogg123 na_forest2-remix.ogg & pmidi forest2-percussion.mid -- Thanks, Richard |

Try using Debian sarge, i found it to be more stable then the stable version (especially the kernel). I have the same card you have and got it working fine. Just grab the Debian Sarge Netinst CD, i used rc2, but any version should work great, make sure you have a good internet connection though. They probably won't use this one, however, unless they want an easter egg reference to SuperTux somewhere. A nice place for it in SuperTux might be during the ending credits; what do you think? >In general you might try touching up your pieces with some effects/more >different instruments to make them more interesting. Hello Developers, > My goal > for the next month is stay on topic and post out some graphics that have > been listed in the wiki as needed. I'm new here, so could you tell me where I can find the wiki? I found a Bug: When I turn off the Software-Renderer the water becomes semi-transparent, so I can see the stones under the water, with OpenGL the water isn't transparent. Which of those behaviors is the bugy one? I can produce any frames of a golden rotating coin, how can I show it to the developers? Alexander |

Well it does indeed sound more like a piece for an rpg now, but it might still be usefull for places where we progress in the story. In general you might try touching up your pieces with some effects/more different instruments to make them more interesting. In this piece a bit of hall to the piano would be a good idea I think. Would also be interesting to experiment with oboe, saxophone or flute as lead voice with the same piano/string background. Greetings, Matze |
