Great, thank you very much! I installed Show Headers plugin and it worked.
That gets me 70% where I need to be.

I'll install 1.5.2 and give it a try. I just recently escaped the jail of
cPanel-provided version of Squirrelmail. It is refreshing that I can
control my installation. The move was painless, I hope 1.5.2 will be as
easy.

In 1.4.x IIRC there is not an easy way to do this.  You'd need to make
source modifications.

It's somewhat stable, and definitely easier to modify the template
output in the message list for this purpose, but officially I can't
make promises about 1.5.x

Hi,

I installed 1.4.22 on my Linux server. I'd like to see a custom field
either in the message list or the message itself. In my case, I want to
see spam score (on my system, the field is X-Spam-Score). I could not find
any plugin to make this possible/available.

Ideally, I'd be able to add a column to the "Index Order"
(options_order.php), like I could add Size column.

Alternatively, I would be able to see the value as a header in the message
display (read_body.php), along the Subject/From/Date/To/Priority fields.

I know I can see the field by clicking View Full Header (view_header.php).
However, that's 3 clicks for every message and does not help me to get an
tune my Spamassassin score treshold.

I am willing to hack my system if necessary - if this is too cumbersome to
develop as a Plugin.

I'd appreciate hints (hopefully such a beast already exists) or what is
the easiest path to get this done. I have not used php but I can try.

This bug occurs when:
New Mail Options->Count only messages that are RECENT: checked
AND
New Mail Options->Change title on supported browsers: checked
AND
Folder preferences->Folder List Options->Enable Unread Message Notification is set to: Only Inbox
AND
Folder preferences->Folder List Options->Unread Message Notification Type is set to: Only Unseen


The description of the bug:
The browser title always displays "0 New Messages". When a RECENT mail arrives the number should
increase by 1. It does not.


I can reproduce the bug by:
1.) Enable New Mail plugin.
2.) Set 4 options in New Mail and Folder Preferences as described above under "This bug occurs when:"
3.) Select a folder other than the Inbox. (I'm pretty sure if the inbox is in focus the new mail
will not be determined to be RECENT. I checked this by monitoring
/var/spool/mail/vhosts/example.com/username/new/. When The inbox is viewed the message gets
transfered to /var/spool/mail/vhosts/example.com/username/cur/. Directory cur is the inbox, I'm
guessing new is untouched)
4.) Send yourself an email from Squirrelmail or another client. Just don't go back to your inbox.
Instead wait for a refresh or click [Check Mail] in the upeer left pane. 0 New Messages should
remain unchanged.
5.) Change Folder preferences->Folder List Options->Unread Message Notification Type to: Unseen
and Total


(Optional) I got bored and found the bug occurs in:

(Optional) I got really bored and here's a fix:
Really all that needs to be done is to add: $oMbx->recent = $aStatus['RECENT'];
But I got really really bored and changed depricated function sqimap_unseen_messages to preferred
function sqimap_status_messages.

Syntax errors - THAT I'm good at.  But your suggestions also gave me the
idea to try to determine the code in which the plugin is looking for the
config file.  That led me to the functions.php file, in the
sl_get_config function.

There I saw that it would load config.php in the plugins directory only
if it didn't find config_squirrel_logger.php in the main config
directory.  I looked at that file and found the mismatched ERROR lines.
 Uncommenting the ERROR line in sl_log_events allowed me to bypass the
error.  Thank you!

Now to get it to write the log file into my log directory, using my
system's filename format...

Does look to be commented out everywhere.  This likely means there is
another configuration file that is being read.  Use find or locate to
help figure it out.  Another fast way to see if a file is being used
-- only on non-production, low volume or private servers -- is to
introduce a PHP syntax error into the configuration file and see if it
causes SquirrelMail to malfunction (watch your logs too).  RedHat does
move its configuration files around...

[SM-PLUGINS] Squirrel Loggen config problem

To all,
Please excuse me if this has been asked and answered; I have been unable
to find it any of my searches.  I have at least two plugin problems; the
other will be asked separately.

I am running:
squirrelmail-1.4.22-15.el7.noarch
php-5.4.16-36.el7_1.x86_64
httpd-2.4.6-31.el7.centos.x86_64
dovecot-2.2.10-4.el7_0.1.x86_64
sendmail-8.14.7-4.el7.x86_64

as well as:
compatability-2.0.16-1.0
squirrel_logger-2.3.1-1.2.7

from .tar.gz files.

I have followed the instructions in the INSTALL document included in the
plugin package, and yet (even with the default options) I get the
following error using configtest.php:

    ERROR: Squirrel Logger plugin is configured to log the "ERROR" event
in $sl_logs, but that event is not enabled in $sl_log_events

Ideally, I would have the errors logged, to a file, but even though the
$sl_logs and $sl_log_events match I get the error above.  Any thoughts
on how I might resolve this?

No.  Does your account have multiple identities set up?  If not,
adding one is a work-around for the bug.

Yes, read all the documentation in the docs directory.  There is
plenty of help there and information on how to submit a more
informative request for assistance.  And you should never send
credentials to a public mailing list.  I suggest you change them right
away if you haven't already.

You missed one of the requirements listed in the README and on the
download page - the Compatibility plugin.

attachement plugs http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=279 the "Option > 
Display Preferences" get a PHP Fatal Error:

Hello,

We have installed the plugin 'vadmin' for squirrel mail - we've configured the paths in the vadmin.conf file to point to the squirrel mail installation on the server. We've also specified the user account that should be the superuser, after re-uploading the conf file and restarting the web service & server has not made a difference. The server is CentOS 6 - and you can find all the PHP information on http://31.193.6.33/info.php

To check the config test for squirrel mail you can access http://31.193.6.33/squirrelmail/src/configtest.php

Logging in and under options you cannot see the vadmin interface.

If you need to test the login details for the test super account created you can use the following details;

U: joe.bloggs
P: crunch56

Are you able to advise what to do next or how to fix this problem?

for this testing purpose I took the functions.php of release 1.0 with my 
release 1.1
added this few lines on top:

global $echo, $openssl, $cadir, $easycerts;

$echo = "/bin/echo";
$openssl = "/usr/bin/openssl";
$cadir = "/etc/ssl/certs";
$easycerts = "";

because the are not used any more in my release 1.1

sent me 2 messages, one that failes and one this is ok

Indeed, that must be fixed, but the question this raises is how you
got there without having a valid cert?  Can you please share the full
message source of an example message that causes this?

[SM-PLUGINS] Updated S/MIME Verification plugin (now correct mail)

Hello anybody,

This plugin v1.0 has a few critical bugs, which made the apache logs
endless growing;

$fd = fopen( ... )
while (!feof($fd))    // <-- there is the problem in downloadcert.php, {  
                  //    no error check, if the fopen failed or not ... ...
}

I fixed them and also did some error handling: now it is possible to see
the difference between the following:
- an unmodified mail
- an unmodified mail, but the signer's certificate can't be verified
    (self-signed or CA not in trusted certificate store)
- an modified mail
- an modifoed mail, and the signer's certificate can't be verified
    (self-signed or CA not in trusted certificate store)
- a mail with an invalid signature:
    in this case there is no difference if the mail itself is altered or not

the case when the signer's certificate gots invalid is handled the same as
when unable to be verified (self-signed or CA not in trusted certificate
store);

moved any call to openssl into one shell script: openssl-cmds.sh
(solved an "incompatiblity" issue with some linux distributions:
                                            trusted certificate store)

added a complete certificate view (certview-complete.php):
 displays 'openssl x509 -in certfile -noout -text';

the certificate fingerprint is not only MD5, also SHA1; I added/fixed this
to the certificate view page (certview.php)

I didn't add the possibility that the fingerprint could also be SHA256;
(this would be 1 line in openssl-cmds.sh and two lines in viewcert.php
each similar to the lines for the SHA1 fingerprint)
if wished I'll add this;

could anybody please test it with squirrelmail 1.5.0+ - just to sse if
everything works there as expected, too?

I'm using squirrelmail from a rpm from fedora epel-7 (1.4.22-15.el7) (I'm
running CentOS 6.x with PHP5.4 from remi repository)

would be great to publish my update as release 1.1 ...

Did you check the notes file? I believe you need to follow the 
instructions in there to get an html editor...

I have to admit, I did not know there was an html compose plugin for SM. I
think you will find that the majority of Squirrelmail users use
Squirrelmail to strip out any html from html only mail so they can view it
in plain text, or either they do not subscribe to any mailing list and
such that send out html mail.

It is one of the fallacies of gmail and other webmail services, to believe
everybody wants html email.

I really don't understand, I've run around the whole web to find a solution
or, at least, the cause of my problem... Without any result.
