Great news. Can you explain what you did to fix it? IIR it was a couple of reasons why the reload didn't work. Or, I guess I can just wait for the code to drop. :) Seth |

Kristofer, This issue will be resolved as part of the 1.3RC1 release. I have mostly resolved the problem now and I will be updating the code when it moves over into the main source tree. Hi all, sorry to repeat the question, but I never got any real answer to the last post. Wont ask again, promise:-) The current support for scripting languages like Groovy and BSH, in the sandbox, are not working as it apprently once did ( http://opensource2.atlassian.com/projects/spring/browse/SPR-1253). I would appreciate if anyone could let me know if this is something that is worked on. I have understood that some support are planed for 1.3 but have not see= n any details. Please, anyone! Kind Regards Kristofer Eriksson |

Hi Dmitriy, Ah, that makes perfect sense. I will remove -Exception and see if that eliminates the warning. Thanks, Dave Dmitriy Kopylenko wrote: > I would assume it is the expected behaviour. I would assume it is the expected behaviour. Spring code base is heavily instrumented with various levels of log requests to give users a pretty clear picture on what is going on inside the framework. In this particular case it just "warns" (no exceptional condition has been raised) that even though you configured Spring CMT engine to rollback the TX on the particular Exception, no TX is available (due too the propagation level configured) to be rolled back. IMO, such warnings are very useful and informative, but again, that's my own opinion ;-) Regards, Dmitriy. Well, Keep in mind this SWF 1.0 DTD has not yet been published, as SWF 1.0 RC1 has not yet been released. While I guess it's ok to be out on the website now, that's why it wasn't done so yet. Hi Juergen, I'm using Spring 1.2.3. I have a service object defined with tx propagation PROPAGATION_SUPPORTS, -Exception. When it is called from outside a transaction, no tx is created as expected. However, if my method throws an exception, AbstractPlatformTransactionManager logs a warning: WARN (AbstractPlatformTransactionManager.java:473) - Should roll back transaction but cannot - no transaction available Is this expected? If I change to PROPAGATION_NEVER, the same warning is logged. If I change to PROPAGATION_REQUIRED, no warning is logged. Doesn't appear to be causing any problems, but is annoying to see in the log. Is this expected behavior? Looks like the logger.info() was changed to logger.warn() in 1.1-rc1. Thanks, Dave |

Hi All,
We run the following codes fairly well in spring
1.2.1, but fail in 1.2.4 and 1.2.5.
--code snippet-----------------------
import oracle.sql.BLOB;
try {
String sfzmhm = request.getParameter("sfzmhm");
WebApplicationContext wac =
WebApplicationContextUtils.getRequiredWebApplicationContext(request.getSession().getServletContext());
// Implemantation-II: using JdbcTemplate directly
DataSource ds =
(DataSource)wac.getBean("dataSource");
JdbcTemplate jt = new JdbcTemplate(ds);
// photo is a BLOB field in oracle
BLOB blob = (BLOB)jt.queryForObject(
"select photo from photo_reposit where sfzmhm='" +
sfzmhm + "'",BLOB.class);
// output image-binary into reponse's output stream
...
} catch (Exception ex) {
...
}
-------------------------------------
and it prompts as:
-------------------------------------
2005-11-12 11:11:01,737 ERROR
[com.hzes.web.control.UIShowPhoto]-
org.springframework.dao.TypeMismatchDataAccessException:
Result object for row number 0 and column type 'BLOB'
and value [[B@1875b11] is of type [[B] and could not
be converted to required type [oracle.sql.BLOB]
-------------------------------------
seems like JdbcTemplate.queryForObject returned a
wrong type([B? what's it?).
Any idea? please correct me if I post in wrong list,
TIA.

Dear Spring Community I'm pleased to announce that Acegi Security release 0.9.0 is now available. This release includes 70 improvements and fixes, with several new features including JCaptcha (human user detection) support, a web.xml to Acegi Security migration tool, Java 5 annotations, "switch user" style capabilities for web applications, and SiteMinder integration. Please visit http://opensource2.atlassian.com/projects/spring/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=10040&styleName=Html&version=10251 for a detailed changelog. Upgrade instructions (from 0.8.x to 0.9.0) are included in the release ZIP file. We recommend that users upgrade to 0.9.0 in order to take advantage of the many bug fixes and improvements in this release. Upgrading to 0.9.0 will also assist us in identifying any issues as we move towards a 1.0.0 release before The Spring Experience conference in Florida next month. Please visit http://acegisecurity.org to learn more about Acegi Security's features, browse online documentation, or download the latest release. We hope you find this new release useful in your projects. Cheers Ben |

I have reopened SPR-1361. It is not clear there is actually a good fix to SPR-1361, to the extent that the controller itself has no real clue how an incoming path was mapped to it. It's the handler mapping that decides that. So it can not know how much of the path to strip off. Colin |

I've heard about that one before. It's something that Jikes object to within
a JAMON class, though, so we cannot do anything about it within Spring -
other than updating to some newer JAMON version that might have fixed that
issue.
