      Yes, I'm working for RAR5 unpacking support and I suppose that more than 50% of work is completed now.

Found an-over problem - 7-Zip can't extract PKZip 2.50 archive with Russian file name because PKZip used mixed code page CP-866 and CP-1251 in to global and local header:

Кроме .xap файлов у которых проблема - разные слэши (/) в глобальном и локальном заголовках архива, новые версии 7z также не работают с архивами созданными pkzip2.50 в которых есть русские имена.
Тут проблема в разной кодировке имён файлов в глобальном и локальном заголовках (OEM/ANSI CP). Если строгость проверки ослабить (7z-1505-pathed2 выше) файлы нормально извлекаются.

  Does anybody know why pkzip 2.50 uses that scheme with different encoding (CP-866 and CP-1251) in central directory and local header?
  
  What about new versions of software from pkzip / pkware?

2useven10 на форуме Far в теме по плагину arclite выложил обновлённые им сборки 7z.dll, но в данный момент сайт far не доступен, хотя к примеру в моей сборке FarUE3 данный вариант 7z.dll используется с момента его доступности:

с путаницей х64 вместо х86 DLL мой недосмотр тянувшийся несколько недель. Хорошо что сам заметил, без баг-репортов.:)

This bug is in 8.38 and 15.00 (Windows):

When I unpack something via drag and drop from the 7-Zip window, the unpack window reacts to clicling it/moving it around with the mouse/... by looking like it crashed until it is done unpacking. This is not the case with "Unpack to...". You can press Space to put it in the background and it won't look "crashy" then, but it would be nicer if that wasn't necessary. I guess you need to add some "interrupt" somewhere.

Использую Вашу программу (7-Zip 15.05, MS Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) для архивации данных через .bat-файл.
Вот кусок команды:

7z.exe u -ssw -mx3 -mmt4 -ms=off -r Work\doc.7z D:\doc\* | findstr /P /I /V "Compressing 7-Zip" >> log\log_%NOW%.txt

Каждый день получаю отчет об архивации на электронную почту. Стал замечать что отчет по одной папке не полный:

Open archive: Work\doc.7z Path = Work\doc.7z Type = 7z Physical Size = 263559415547 Headers Size = 2872890 Method = Delta LZMA2:20 BCJ Solid = + Blocks = 2622 Scanning the drive: 13767 folders, 199091 files, 442412522927 bytes (413 GiB) Updating archive: Work\doc.7z Items to compress: 212858

Оказалось, что не хватает места на жестком диске.
Прошу добавить проверку места на жестком диске, чтобы по приходящему отчету можно было увидеть данную ошибку и устранить ее.

  Console version now uses stderr stream for error messages.
  
  You can store error log for command:
  2>error.txt
  
  Or you can use -bse1 switch to send error messages to stdout stream.

    Где можно посмотреть параметры консольной версии (15.05)?
    По команде 7z.exe -? не вижу такого параметра (-bse1).
    Или может подскажете как нужно изменить команду

Sorry, that I answer so late to your questions regarding my wish to get back the MSI installer. As mentioned before I am deploying to ~4000 clients ( nearly all Windows 7, Prof, 64-BIT ). We use several deployment methods including opsi, wpkg, sccm, active-directory ( GPO ), WSUS and Batch/CMD scripts. All they have in common is MSI. Some are good with exe, some are bad, some don´t work with exe at all. MSI works with all of them and is and was the best choice for us. At the moment we are stuck with 7-zip 15.03 because it is the last MSI Version and for us it is mandatory to have the same software on all clients so we can not deliver the 15.05 version with the exe-enabled deployment procedures and skip the clients that are only accessible via MSI-enabled deployment procedures...

When I try to open MP3s (they get opened by MPC-HC on my Windows 7 SP1 system) via doubleclick, onlya thefirst gets opened, after that the files aren't found because they're not in the %TMP% folder. Is that a 7-Zip problem?

А зачем торопится? Понятие "стабильная версия" просто означает момент фиксации текущего состояния проекта, но не всегда гарантирует отсутствие ошибок.

Всё от ваших задач зависит. Может вам подойдёт к примеру 9.34/9.38 или 15.05. Посмотрите и выберите для себя именно то, что для вас подходит. Никто кроме вас не сможет дать ответ на этот вопрос.
