What about spybot and notepad++?
Uninstall them and try 7-Zip again.
Show screenshot where 7-Zip doesn't work, and when there is no any third-party software in context menu.

That screenshot was just to show you the option that does not work and it was done from my Win8.1Pro PC - I gave that screenshot because you asked to see which option was not working.
How many times do I need to write that we did all the tests on brand new Win 10 installs B.E.F.O.R.E anything else was ever installed !!!!!!

So please show screenshot for that clean windows 10.
I want to see that there are no another items in menu.
Also try to open some file with simple path instead of another complex path:
c:\1\a.7z
Try to find simplest case, that doesn't work, and show screenshot of that case exactly.

Someone called M.B. contacted me off-list and it was great to have somene finally read my emails thoroughly, everyone of them, and not ask me to repeat myself yet again or ask me to re-do 25 times the things I had already said I had done.
Anyhow, a by-product of his contribution is that we accidentally found out the following which I am sharing here : if we have Win 10 Build 1809 with 7-Zip 18.05 and working, install 7-Zip 19.0, it messes up, as exptected, and installing Build 1903 does not solve the problem.
However, if we have Win 10 Build 1809 with 7-Zip 18.05 and working, then install Build 1903 of Win10, and only after that install 7-Zip 19.0, then it does NOT mess up, and everything continues working fine.
M.B. and I are still working on this off-list, but to those who were not reading my emails thoroughly, this does show it has nothing to do with what we were doing.

So it seems like when you install 7Zip v18.05 in Win10 b1809, then upgrade Win10 to b1903 then finally install 7Zip v19.0, there's probably some registry entry pertaining to file associations/shell which carries over to Win10 b1903. That's going to be a pretty difficult one to track down, since it could be a some weird bug in Win10 and not neccessarily in 7Zip (or both;). I'm sticking with Win7 forever lol (course that's not the best solution, but hey).

@Objectivité < Look. there's no need to get upset, we're trying to help but it's difficult doing it remotely without seeing your side. Obviously there has to be something wrong in your windows, since millions of other users aren't complaining.
As Igor has suggested, try to put a test zip file into a "simple" path such as c:\1\file.zip and try to unzip it from there both through the 7ZipFM and context menu. It's possible due to your localization in Windows that the paths get conflicted due to different character sets, etc.
The reason Igot asked you to take a snapshot of your windows screen, is because while you keep reainstalling windows, it could be a custom image by the computer manufacturer which already contains some preinstalled apps which might interfere. Hope you see my point.

Hi!
I had the same problem with the lack of support from the pop-up menu in Windows 10 64-bit.
It turned out that I used a 32-bit version of the 7zip installer instead of the 64-bit version.
Make sure you are using the correct version of the 7zip installer.

Version 19.00 works fine for me in opening unregistered file types from the file explorer 7-ZIP context menus in Windows 10 Professional build 1809. I am not using any 3rd party shell products.

I had the same issue unpacking ".EXE" files, and the way I solved it by setting the following in 7Zip Tools > Options > 7Zip (first clear ALL the checkmarks, then select ONLY the following check marks):
Integrate 7Zip to shell context menu (both x32 and x64)
!Uncheck > Cascaded context Menu< Uncheck!
Icons in context menu
Eliminate duplicates
!Uncheck > Open archive < Uncheck!
Open archive > (note not the first but the second one ending in ">")
Extract files...
Test archive
Add to archive
CRC SHA >
Click Apply, OK, and exit 7Zip.
In Explorer, right click the ".EXE" file, and from the context menu select 7Zip's Open Archive, and try the first 3 options (Open Archive, star, #). Usually the first Open Archive will work, but sometimes you will have to try the (star) or (#) options.
Good luck!

Hello, I have now tested this functionality by making an EXE Program into a ZIP archive renamed as a ABC.EXE which can be opened with 7zip and see the EXE file inside of the EXE container. Windows 10 x64 latest version. Please ignore my last response as I have tested this twice and it has worked with using zip compression method.

SHA1 and MD5 hashes are already posted in the directory where you download your files. To the right of the "Downloads/Week" column there is a circled 'I' icon listed for each corresponding file. Click on the icon for the file you want to check and it will display your checksums.

Thanks Igor, the new patch seems to provide a decent RNG seed for all systems.
I also saw in the code that PBKDF2 does only 1000 iterations (kNumKeyGenIterations) which is a bit archaic - I'd suggest at least 10000.

Guys, I give up.
No-one is reading posts thoroughly and this whole episode has made me regret even spending the time registering to explain this problem.
Please go along happily thinking that 18.06 and 19.00 are perfect.

Thanks Igor.
"About" window bug: 2018->2019
Thanks for report.
I'll fix that number in next version.
Windows SmartScreen just asked me if I am sure to run x64 installer.
Copyright is still in 2018
Can we have checksums posted for the download files, to verify integrity?
Related: since files aren't signed, Windows warns against executing them.
SHA1 and MD5 hashes are already posted in the directory where you download your files. To the right of the "Downloads/Week" column there is a circled 'I' icon listed for each corresponding file. Click on the icon for the file you want to check and it will display your checksums.

These checksums should be visible on the https://www.7-zip.org/ website on the main page and in download section.
Piotr, I haven't been able to find checksums listed on the 7-zip web site.
I meant that they should be listed there, not that you can find them there.
Thanks Ted. I looked before and couldn't find it, but tried again and found it where you said, i.e., in https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/7-Zip/19.00/ under the (i) icon.
