Great software! Uwe, thank you for keeping this project going and supporting the community. I hope it's been good for you :-) To newcomers, like any complex application, learning to "use" SeedDMS is more than just figuring out the install and config procedure and checking out the menus (which btw is not trivial but certainly not impossible). Expect to spend significant effort deciding on a suitable folder structure to use and setting permission inheritances, learning about user groups and roles and deciding how to best manage your users, create suitable document categories and any custom attributes you might need, figuring out what makes a good document name for your needs, personally submit, review and approve more than one document using different types of files and then update some of those files, etc. I rate SeedDMS 5-stars across the board from the perspective of a user of a well designed system.

It is an instrumental and easy-to-use project but it needs more new tools such as new themes one important issue is how to restore data from the backup file I didn't find any way to do that within the project menus

This is a great bit of software, I really like it, but, and it's a huge but, installation is not easy and the documentation is...well, is there any documentation? Some years ago I installed it on a Raspberry PI, and the time is overdue - now that I've had a NAS for some years - to install it there instead. Can I? Can I heck. I can't make it work direct, and I can't even get a docker image of it running. I have spent countless hours on this, and now my NAS has been upgraded to DSM 7 I think the one thing I can say is that if I had managed to get it working on DSM, it would be broken again. So, sadly, it's bye-bye seeddms.
