#81 Error Failed to completely lockdown the computer

Student installed SEB.
When they try to open .seb file, a window pops up with the following error: "Failed to Completely Lockdown Computer" (image).
Deleted SEB. Restarted the computer. Reinstalled SEB (from new download of the installer).
Opened .seb file (file worked with other students, zero issues).
Same error appears.

Hello i have the same problem. I want to try TOEFL pratice file given by my university but.. Whenever I click the .seb file, it shows "Failed to completely lockdown the computer". I can't even do my TOEFL pratice because after it show up, the Safe Exam Browser close.

Are any of you using WMware software or anything related? I think we located the issue to be related with two WMware configuration values SEB is trying to set.

If you are using VMware software, try disabling / uninstalling it. Otherwise, you'd need to wait until we fix the issue and release a bugfix.

i have checked my laptop and Vmware is not installed. so what ? should i wait for the bugfix ?
