This is anyways planned for SEB on Windows, as the current embedded browser engine which we're using, Mozilla Gecko, will be discontinued by Mozilla sooner or later (there is no fixed deadline communicated).
We are planing to evaluate which Chromium embedding solution we can use after we release SEB 2.2 (so later this year). CEF 3 and Electron are currently on the list of solutions to evaluate.
SEB for macOS is using WebKit 1 which is only partly compatible with Chromium (but much closer than Mozilla Gecko). We will evaluate if it makes sense and if it is feasible to switch SEB for macOS to Chromium.

Thanks Daniel, good to know. Think the work the SEB team has done is great. We currently use this for various assessments, reducing differences between platforms would help minimise operational issues.
Cheers
