Hello, =20 Maybe I missed something, but there's two particular issues with the e-mail gateway that I'm curious about. =20 1) E-mailing something with an existing subject line, but no [issue#] tag, appends to the existing issue, rather then creating a new issue. Is there a reason for this? We were trying to think of a good reason for this happening (workflow wise), and we couldn't really think of a reason that we wouldn't want a new issue to be created. Is there a good reason? If not, would it be ok to write up a feature request about it? =20 2) E-mailing something that's a full thread, that has no [issue#] in the subject line, as well as having a unique subject line, stores only the 'delta' of the thread. We were thinking that it would be keen that if there was a new issue being created, that roundup would store the *entire* e-mail, versus just the part that the person CCing the issue tracker wrote. Does anyone else think this is merit able/accomplishable? =20 If someone could help me out, I'd wouldn't mind the following questions answered/pointed to (in documentation, or what have you, that I might've missed. :)) for each of the above: =20 a) Is there a reason for each of the above, that we haven't thought of? Design reasons/workflow reasons? b) If a) isn't because of a rigid reason, would they be able to be put in a release as feature enhancements? c) if b)'s answer is 'no', can I get some tips as to where to look, what to start plugging at? And if so, should I submit a patch, or will this not enter the mainline? =20 =20 Phew - I hope that came out more legible then it was inside my head. :) =20 Thanks everyone! =20 =20 =20 =20 ____ =20 _/ __ \ =20 \ ___/=20 \___ > eddie parker \/ =20 electronic arts software engineer =20 developer relations =20 =20 |
