Dear Sirs, I am using RapidSVN and my network running with linux , we are using nfs for home directories for users and when i run RapidSVN as normal user and i am geting error as Execute :Commit Error While performing action : Commit failed (details follow): Can't connect to host 'software' : connection refused(Software is the nfs server) Ready Please give me the solution howto solve my problem, and i am new to this. I told Alexander Mueller <Xel...@we...> about this. Now I thought I'd also report to the list. svn version is 1.2.3. In RapidSVN about box, the supported schema area is blank. Hello Jack, I believe this has already been taken care of with the issues #284 and #288. 0.9.0 has been released today, so hopefully someday soon it will reach Ubuntu/Kubuntu as well... Hello all, I found it in Ubuntu's universe repository. RapidSVN works fine on my Kubuntu now. (I tested checking out, haven't tested anything else yet.) It seems that the RapidSVN window gets refreshed a lot when checking out (updating directories) and expanding the source tree. That significantly slows things down. I think some intelligence can be put in the refresh mechanism, for example, if a tree is collapsed, do not refresh the view even if the content of the tree is changed? -- Best regards, Jack |

Hello Alexander, I installed from the .deb file. It's only available in 0.7 :( I also tried very hard to compile from source but I have not been able to resolve the missing dependency problems. I'm using Kubuntu. Issues including missing APR, wx-config, etc. I've installed APR. Somehow it's not being detected... Hello all, I am a new user, just installed RapidSVN on my Kubuntu box. I have been using TortoiseSVN on Windows and have a good repository. I wanted to check out the same repository in the Linux box. However, right after I input the URL, local path and hit "OK", RapidSVN crashed. It shows in the console (started from console) this error message: rapidsvn: subversion/libsvn_subr/path.c:343: svn_path_remove_component: Assertion 'is_canonical (path->data, path->len)' failed. Aborted It's RapidSVN 0.7.0 with Subversion 1.0.9 and wxWindows 2.4.2. Any ideas why this happened? Tried multiple times, same error. -- Best regards, Jack |

but there are two missing resource files in src/res dir.

Where else can I get those files?

Finally I have created a working Windows build environment for RapidSVN and reproduced the problem whereby the preferences dialog is not correctly layed out under Windows, despite working correctly under linux. The fix was to change the order of two calls when setting up the window. SetAutoLayout(true); // Must precede call to Fit to work on Windows. topsizer->Fit(this); I have just checked in this change. Comparing my preferences dialog code with that from audacity, we seem independently to have written almost identical code, which is encouraging. Anyway, the moral seems to be to have the linux and Windows running side by side when developing UI code. John |

I have just committed changes which provide a preferences dialog. Initially some dummy settings are provided, to be replaced with real ones in due course. The settings are transferred between dialog controls and global variables, and stored in .RapidSVN between sessions. John |

We should start a doc about naming conventions, log message and patch message conventions. Take a look at http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/HACKING. I think we could take this for a start and adapt it as needed. Alex |
