I don't see this bug in 3.2.2. A generated EMF file can be immediately opened and shows properly, all the while QM session that generated it is still running.
Could you perhaps check again on your system, so that the bug can be closed?

As I said in my earlier post, please try the latest QM 3.2.2. For me, this version allows deleting any created EMF files all the while the QM instance that generated the file is still running.
I would appreciate if you could post your experience with QM 3.2.2 here.

on QM 3.1.3 I still have the problem. The problem is not that you can't read the file. I can open it. But I can't modify it or remove it.

It's now working with QM 3.2.2, thanks for the modification.
Fixed in QM 3.2.2 (for Windows 64-bit). In QM 3.2.2 you can delete any .emf files while the QM session that created them is still active.
