I have qp_8.0.0-linux installed on a workstation running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and installed on a laptop running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Qt5 is installed on both systems. I can run QM successfully on the workstation but not on my laptop. When I run QM on the laptop, the error message indicates the version of LIBC is too old, "GLIBC 2.34 not found". I copied the shared library for "libc.so.6" from my workstation to the bin folder for QM. When I tried to run QM using the "qm.sh" script, the app crashed with a segmentation fault. I noticed that the libc from the workstation also had a dependency on "ld-linux-x86-64.so.2" so I also copied that library to the QM bin along with ldd from the workstation. The versions of glibc on the workstation is 2.35. Before trying to run QM I executed "export QT_QPA_PLATFORM="xcb" on the command line after I copied libqxcb.so from the platforms sub directory to the bin directory of QM. The app crashed in the same way.
I realize that configuring an app to run on different versions of Ubuntu linux can be a lot of work, so it may not be worth the effort. I may just update my Ubuntu distribution on the laptop if there isn't an easy fix for this problem. I've avoided upgrading so far until I get more acquainted with the side effects of the upgrade.

I installed Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and libxcb-cursor0. I can run QM successfully now. This bug can be closed. I'm fine with installing newer version of Ubuntu.
