Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3738827 By: fabioz Ok, there really was a bug in version 1.0.6 (1.0.5 should work thought). I've fixed it again and should be working for 1.0.7. I intend to release it in the start of the next week (monday or tuesday). Thanks for the report. Cheers, Fabio ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3738802 By: fabioz Hi, Note that this is a 'spurious' message, as there is no real problem there (it is a sync thing between the client and the server, as the server asked for some frame that was there but does not exist anymore -- it happens because it is asynchronous and may happen on XP too, but is not a real problem). I've supressed that error for 1.0.7. Cheers, Fabio ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3738738 By: paulikelly Whenever I return from a subroutine in the pydev debugger I get a "Error resolving frame ... findFrame: frame not found error" reported in the console window. Not every time, but 80%. I have tried this on RHE3 and NT 2003 Advanced server edition. However I do not see these errors when I run the same python scripts on a XP Home edition. I am running Python 2.4.3, eclipse 3.1.2, pydev 1.0.6. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Perhaps the script could not connect to the debuging Server ? My firewall is off. Also, after starting the Eclipse debug server listener, does the Debug Server appear as a process in the debug window? Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3738197 By: fakeleft Hi, First off, beautiful tool - thank you. I'm having trouble getting the remote debugger to work (tried it on 2 machines: win2k and winxp with eclipse3.1/python2.4). When I run my test script (which, of course, calls pydevd.settrace()) from the command line, nothing happens in eclipse. Not sure if this helps, but netstat does show a number of connections between the javaw and python processed involved. Any pointers would be appreciated. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3732438 By: fabioz Hum, I don't get it, why do that? Don't you have a structure with __init__.py files? If so, when adding the root folder to the pythonpath, it will automatically be able to access all the other folders (so, it is already recursive if you have those __init__.py files as python requires). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3732430 By: nobody I have here an project with about 90 python files and many different folders. The pathes of the folders are added on runtime to the python searchpath in the python file which is used to start the application. How can I add the whole folder structure to the PYTHONPATHES? Eclipse includes in JAVA mode all folders of the project to the classpath. Is this also possible in pydev? btw.: i like pydev ;-) good work ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Fabio: I am having some problems with indenting in a Jython file. After I hit <enter> on some lines the editor places the indent about 28 characters in on the next line - it does not seem to align with anything obvious. If I then hit backspace then the cursor goes back 4 characters at a time but not to anywhere useful. I have to backspace enough and then enter some spaces to get to where I want to be. The following is a fragment of this file that exhibits this behaviour: class Paragrapher: def _analyzeLine(self, line): pattern = r'''(\s*#\s*|\s*"""\s*|''' \ + r"""\s*'''\s*|""" \ + r'''\s*"\s*|''' \ + r"""\s*'\s*|s*)""" compiledRe = re.compile(pattern) matched = compiledRe.match(line) leadingString = line[0:matched.end()] mainText = line[matched.end():] Try hitting enter on the last line. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3727396 By: teunvandeberg I suspect your problem is caused by the PyDev Pylint rules. (I had similar problems.) Try removing the rules defined by PyDev (Window -> Preferences -> PyDev -> Pylint -> Arguments passed to Pylint). Pylint's default rules will then be used. You can define your own rules later (when things are working). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3726071 By: nobody Currently stuck with the same problem - what do you mean by "I included [a jarfile(?)] in the project"? Do you mean you impored the jarfile? (I tried so, but this fails...) While one is able to set a classpath for java projects, this possibility is completely missing in a pydev project - at least it's not obvious where to do so.(One can't browse used java classes as well...) Help welcome :-) Greetings, Dirk ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3725995 By: nobody Hi, I'm trying to debug a Python script which calls os.popen to get a command processed. The skript runs perfectly fine when started under a plain python shell. If I try to debug or run it under PyDev I always get the message: import site; use -v for traceback Does anybody know what PyDev is doing different here and how I can fix this?
