Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3724170 By: teunvandeberg Is there a option change the color and font in the editor? With most Plugin you can change this, however it appears that this is not possible within PyDev. This is somewhat frustrating as it leads to the following bug: On Solaris (on Windows this problem does not occur) strings are displayed in a smaller font. This means that the displayed print margin is not valid. Kind regards, Teun ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3720674 By: fabioz Hi Philippe, Well, I don't think there's an 'easy' way of adding it... you'd have to change the plugin to integrate it (extend the PydevBuilder, and so on). If you want better searches, you could use pydev extensions (http://fabioz.com/pydev), which has (I believe) a better find definition than you'd get with ctags and a 'global' token browser (among other niceties). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3718683 By: nobody I have a testcase file, it run correctly when I right click and select Run As/python unit-test. The result show correctly in Console view. When I set the break point in one of the line in the file and click debug nothing happen. Look like I have to declare 'main' part the testcase file which normally don't need to declare at all in normal Run As/python unit-test. Is it possible that I can set break-point and Run As|Python unit-test ? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3711019 By: nobody I installed 2.1. It had an interesting install. The 2.2a1 was the default download on the jython sourceforge site, but it had 2.1 in the form of jython-21.class. I had thought that this was something other than an installer - since class files aren't very recognizable installers :-). I did a search on the class file name and found the installation procedure for the class file. Anyway, so I got that installed and it was way more than just the jar that came with 2.2a1. I went in through the same process to add the jython interpreter and it found all of the PYTHONPATH and Forced builin stuff just fine. I ran the simple program and that worked fine as well. Thanks for the help. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710948 By: fabioz Actually the latest 'stable' release would be jython 2.1 (have you tried with it?) Anyway, it should work with jython 2.2a1. Do you have anything in your error log? Also, I think that there were problems if your eclipse install had spaces (but that depends on the platform... I'm not sure if that's an issue in mac -- because I don't have a mac were I can test it). Anyway, checking the error log might be a good indication of what's going wrong when you add the interpreter (so, if you post it I can diagnose it better). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710909 By: nobody I'm using PyDev 1.0.6 on Eclipse 3.2 RC2 on Mac OS 10.4.6 (PPC). I installed Python 2.4.3 with the MacPython installer and downloaded the current release of Jython from their site - 2.2alpha1, which I assume is the latest stable release since that's listed as the current version. Anyway, I go to the PyDev preferences in Eclipse and configure the Python Interpreter selecting the /usr/local/bin/python executable and it gets all of the libraries and everything from that. I try to do the same thing with the Jython jar file and it appears to do something quickly in with a progress bar popup (goes too fast to read it), but then nothing happens, as in nothing appears in the jython interpreter list. Has anyone else had this problem? Incidentally, after configuring both of these like I described, I tried running a simple HelloWorld script in a Java project. I first ran it as a Python script, and it outputted Hello World! to the console. I tried to run it as a Jython script and nothing happened. I tried it just in case the Jython interpreter was configured but the gui list just didn't update properly. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710407 By: fabioz Hi Bill, The run-as unit-test calls the org.python.pydev.debug/pysrc/runfiles.py module with the folder/file as a parameter. There is currently no way to specify another python runner, but you can rename that module and put in its place another one (with its original name) that would run the nose tests. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710367 By: billcchkk Good morning, I've been using PyDev to do a bit of playing around with the TurboGears framework. TurboGears uses nose for its unit tests, instead of the standard pyunit, but it looks like nose is just an extension to pyunit. Is it possible to set up the "Run As" -> "Python unit-test" to run nose tests instead of pyunit? Thanks, - Bill ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710036 By: fabioz Ok, I've rechecked the implementation and there's a bug in it... It will limit the number of concurrent PyLint threads to 4, even if you raise that number. So, please report that as a bug (I'll try to fix it for the next release). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3710013 By: fabioz Actually that's not currently implemented. So, you should create a feature request for that if you'd like it. Note that you can probably achieve that effect with the interactive debugging console in the extensions through reload (altough I've never tried it myself). Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3709574 By: eiforall Would it be possible for python code to be modified while it is debuged? Because python is such a dynamic language it does not need recompilation its should be relatively easy. Currently code can be modified but no changes take place which gives incorrect impression of it being a dynamic debugger. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3709349 By: fabioz There was a report of that happening: With some linux distributions using gnome (it is in the faq: http://pydev.sourceforge.net/faq.html#ref_9 with the workaround for it) And with Eclipse 3.2 (it is currently unsupported, as Eclipse itself is not in a final release).
